Privacy, kept plain.

The site runs without accounts, forms or cookies of its own, which makes this the shortest kind of policy to write. The few things worth stating plainly follow.

01The organisation behind this site

clinesd.com is operated by Clinesd, Piazza Del Sole Plaza, Unit 201, 200 Windflower Gate, Woodbridge, ON L4L 9L3, Canada. For the purposes of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), that company is the organisation accountable for personal information handled through this website. Reach it at [email protected].

02What this site does not have

Begin with the absences, because they cover most of the ground: there are no accounts to create, no contact or comment box, no mailing list, no analytics package, no advertising pixels and no payment system of any kind. There is nothing to sign into, and no field anywhere on the site asks for your details.

03The list lives on your device

Items you add are held in your browser’s local storage, a small store on your own device. Nothing about the list is transmitted anywhere, and we have no means of reading it. Removing it takes one step at any time: the empty button on the list page, or clearing your browser’s stored data.

04Ordinary server records

As with any website, the hosting that serves these pages may keep routine technical logs — the request itself, a timestamp, an IP address — enough to run the service and to shut out abuse. Such logs are not used to profile visitors, are not combined with other information, and are discarded once they are no longer operationally needed.

05Fonts, and what happens when you click out

The typefaces here are served by Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request for the font files, your IP address included, as part of delivery. Following an Amazon link takes you off this site entirely; from that point onward, Amazon’s own privacy notice applies.

06Standing commitments

  • Personal information is never sold — in practice there is none here to sell.
  • You will not get an email from us unless you wrote to us first.
  • No page on this site will ever ask for card numbers, passwords or identity documents.

07Your rights under PIPEDA

PIPEDA entitles you to know why personal information is gathered, to inspect it, to have errors corrected, and to withdraw consent where it applies. Because this site holds no personal information about its visitors, most access requests will come back empty — though if you have written to us, that correspondence exists, and we will erase it on request. Concerns can also be raised with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

08Scope, updates and contact

The site is written for adults arranging their own travel and is not aimed at children. When the handling of data changes, this page is updated and the date below moves with it. Questions or requests: [email protected] — replies generally within a few business days.
